Twenty Years Gone

Today is the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. In honor of that great event here is a post of a portion of the wall at the Brandenburg Gate. The picture was taken from West Berlin.

Yesterday (Nov 1) was All Saints' Day. Today is All Souls' Day. We remember our families and friends who have gone on. This is the cemetery in my home town of Jersey Shore, PA, where many I remember were laid to rest.

With the Double Eagles

During the first snowfall of the season a week and a half ago I looked out and there were the two eagles in the tree across the lake. The hints of color still in the leaves contrasted nicely with the snow and black and white of the birds.
