The tower of one of the buildings at Ellis Island in New York. The nearly invisible birds in the upper left go with the reflections on the tower from the water around the island. Date: June, 1999
During the first snowfall of the season a week and a half ago I looked out and there were the two eagles in the tree across the lake. The hints of color still in the leaves contrasted nicely with the snow and black and white of the birds. Date: 10/12/09
Three birds, not out of the ordinary, but in the beauty of spring. (Goldfinch, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and a woodpecker) at the Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester, MN Date: May 11, 2009
The other week the Bald Eagle at the lake by my apartment came swooping from the tree and onto the water. I didn't have time to set the camera to take a quick succession of pictures but I did manage to get these four showing what happened. Date: April 25, 2009
We were across the Creek from each other along the Pine Creek Rail Trail. He kept a close eye on me. I took pictures. He won the stare-down- I left first. Date: 8/3/08
This is the photoBlog of pmPilgrim. I have been taking pictures with all kinds of cameras since I was 8 or 9 years old. I may even scan some of those in and post them, too. That's a lot of years of pictures.
I now have a Nikon D40 digital SLR with Nikon zoom lenses. Most pictures taken after June 15, 2007 will probably be with this camera.
Before that I was using a Casio QV-3000EX since 2002. It still is a remarkable camera for its age and style.
