A Distant Memory

A portion of the abandoned Bethlehem Steel Plant in Bethlehem, PA. There is now a Casino on part of these old grounds. This was taken on a hot July day and the heat of the day gave an eerie feel to the deserted steel mill.

A Double Take

When we were in Seville a few years ago we saw this bank. Yes, it is Portuguese and yes it means Bank of the Holy Spirit. Sort of. I guess it really was a family name. As Wikipedia says it is not to be confused with The Bank of the Holy Spirit founded 500 years ago in Rome. I guess. But since yesterday was the Christian holiday of Pentecost, I thought I would post it today.

Two Years & 263 Pictures Later

What better way to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of this blog than to repost the one that started it. It was, of course, a type of picture that I love to take- a sunset. This one is from the Apostle Islands along Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin. Date- 8/5/05

Just A Change of Focus

The picture was dull, average, a dandelion and some lily pads. Then I shifted the focus to the distant reflected trees and a new vision occurs. Perhaps a metaphor?
