Two Years & 263 Pictures Later

What better way to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of this blog than to repost the one that started it. It was, of course, a type of picture that I love to take- a sunset. This one is from the Apostle Islands along Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin. Date- 8/5/05

Just A Change of Focus

The picture was dull, average, a dandelion and some lily pads. Then I shifted the focus to the distant reflected trees and a new vision occurs. Perhaps a metaphor?

Last week I went out looking for the small signs of spring that nature provides, not the human-placed flowers. With the wonders of zoom lens and close cropping with Paint Shop Pro the signs are more than evident.
